Love letter to a son------- - Tell me, do you see the beating of the wings? Do you hear the happy shouts of "Welcome home"? In this sad and stricken room of lost and broken dreams The body of a son lies all alone - Gone are all the questions, the tears and asking why The Father's will revealing His own plan. The simple mind of men cannot begin to try To comprehend that glorious command. - ---Can you hear with the ear of the Spirit? ---Can you see with the eye of your faith? ---Can you know with a heart of understanding? ---Can you rest in the goodness of His grace ---As the one you love looks fully in His face? - Do you feel the joy, the excitement of the crowd As they gather there before the throne of gold? Praising Jesus Christ in joyous chorus loud The King of kings whose Blood has made them bold. - Saddened mother kneels, grieving father yields The spirit of their child to God's last call Sister, brother, friend, gather at the end That only starts the richest life of all. - What did God have in mind? His reason's hard to find When using the intelligence of man. Someday we'll realize, when we look back through His eyes, It was perfectly according to His plan. - ---Can you hear with the ear of the Spirit? ---Can you see with the eye of your faith? ---Can you know with a heart of understanding? ---Can you rest in the goodness of His grace ---As the one you love looks fully in His face?
